The Association for the Preservation
of the Villa Cavrois

The Association for the Preservation of the Villa Cavrois was founded in 1990 aiming to make the authorities and the largest public possible aware of the destiny of the villa Cavrois (1929-1932), masterwork of modern architecture designed by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens (1886-1945) and located at Croix, near Roubaix in the north of France. This villa, despite its registration as a National Historic Monument in 1990 is left in a state of disrepair since its sale to a land speculator/developer.

The Association for the Preservation of the Villa Cavrois strives to promote this architecture to give it back to the public. To emphasize the priceless value of this unique place, and to restore the building and the park in their entirety, are part of the aims of the actions lead since 1990.

To join the association and support its action, please send your contribution (20 euros by check to the association or only by postal order from overseas) to the head office. You will receive your membership card and a letter of information by return mail.

Head office : 68 rue Jules Guesde F 59170 Croix, France.

If you wish to support the actions of the association, you can also write or invite anybody to write to the French Minister of Culture (and also send a copy of the letter to us) in order to make him aware of our cause and show him its international commitment. Here stands a model letter (to be printed from your word processor) accompanied with the Minister's address.
Thank you in advance.
